I love the simplicity of Japanese cooking- veggies, rice and maybe some meat. Japanese cuisine is centered around vegetables, which fits in with my health goals. Teriyaki bowls are great because of the combination of different flavors- plain rice, sweet teriyaki sauce, tangy vegetables, and some juicy meat. Teriyaki bowls can also be made in less than half hour. Making this at home ensures you’ll have more control over how much chicken and vegetables you want.
I had a lot of leftover rice in my fridge, but if you don’t then you might want to make some. If you have any leftover pasta, that could work too.
